HOG oncologists, Dr. Lawrence Einhorn and Dr. George Sledge rang the New York Stock Exchange’s closing bell on August 19, 2009. They were joined by Olympic swimmer and testicular cancer survivor Eric Shanteau.
Dr. Einhorn were there for the event as representatives from The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), as past ASCO president and incumbant ASCO president respectively.
Through this event, The ASCO Cancer Foundation hoped to raise awareness for the need for continued funding for cancer research, improving cancer prevention and patient care through education, and giving patients the best, most reliable cancer information
